These terms set clear expectations for professional tutoring workflows while preserving mandatory consumer rights.

Acceptance

These terms apply when you install, access or use TutorPal, including its mobile app, public tutor profiles, family pages and related services. By using TutorPal, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Blue Sparrow operates TutorPal as a solo developer based in India. These terms work alongside the TutorPal Privacy Policy, Google Play terms and provider terms for identity, subscriptions, notifications, communications and connected services. Mandatory consumer protections where you live remain unaffected.

Service

TutorPal helps independent tutors and small tutoring practices manage profiles, students, guardians, lessons, recurring schedules, packs, policies, acknowledgements, notes, goals, homework, invoices, reports, reminders and family coordination. The working app is local-first, and supported records are synchronised to an authenticated backend for continuity and restore.

TutorPal is an administrative and communication aid. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting, safeguarding, educational-compliance or other professional advice. Reports, reminders, pack balances, policies and suggested workflows can be incomplete or unsuitable for a particular practice. Review important information and use appropriately qualified assistance when needed.

TutorPal does not promise a particular teaching, learning, attendance, payment or business result. The service is not an emergency or safeguarding-reporting channel.

Accounts and security

TutorPal requires Google sign-in and a Firebase-authenticated account for normal tutor use. You must be an adult or have the age and authority required to manage a tutoring practice and agree to these terms. If you use TutorPal for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it.

Use accurate account and business information, keep the Google account and device secure and do not share authenticated access with an unauthorised person. You are responsible for activity through your workspace except where mandatory protections provide otherwise. Notify [email protected] if you reasonably believe access has been compromised.

Signing out, uninstalling, deleting the account and cancelling a subscription are different actions. Review the Privacy Policy and export anything you need before account deletion.

Responsibilities

You decide which tutor, student, guardian and business information to enter, synchronise, export, publish or send. You are responsible for accuracy, an appropriate privacy basis, required notices and permissions, and for keeping records no longer than your tutoring purpose requires.

You must:

  • Use student and guardian information only for appropriate tutoring and administration purposes.
  • Apply suitable care to records about minors and avoid unnecessary sensitive information.
  • Review lesson, pack, invoice, policy and payment details before relying on or sharing them.
  • Send messages, documents and links only to intended recipients through channels you are permitted to use.
  • Keep independent copies of records you cannot replace and follow any obligations that apply to your tutoring practice.

You must not misuse TutorPal, attempt unauthorised access, defeat plan or security controls, introduce malicious code, automate abusive requests, impersonate another person, infringe another person's rights, send spam or use the service for unlawful, deceptive, abusive or harmful activity. Reverse engineering is prohibited except where applicable rules expressly permit it.

Subscriptions and purchases

TutorPal may offer free features, trials, subscriptions or other Premium products. The features, price, billing period and trial terms shown by Google Play at purchase form part of that offer. Google Play processes payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds; RevenueCat and Blue Sparrow subscription services help validate and deliver entitlements. Blue Sparrow does not receive full payment-card details.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play before the applicable renewal time. Signing out, uninstalling TutorPal or deleting a TutorPal account does not itself cancel a store subscription. Manage or cancel it through Google Play.

Premium access may depend on a valid receipt, network availability, the signed-in identity and the store account used for purchase. Any refund, cooling-off, cancellation or service right that must be provided where you live remains available. Future pricing or plan contents may change with notice required by the store or applicable consumer rules.

Cloud features

Authenticated sync, restore, public pages, invoice storage, email delivery, push notifications, support and entitlement refresh depend on networks and third-party services. Provider availability, account rules, privacy notices and service terms also apply.

TutorPal's local-first model is not a promise of local-only storage. Supported records are synchronised to Blue Sparrow services after sign-in. Sync can be delayed, incomplete or unavailable because of connectivity, conflicting edits, incompatible versions, backend maintenance, device state or provider interruption. Review important changes and keep a suitable independent export of records you cannot replace.

Invoice PDFs, tutor logos, public profiles and message-delivery content are uploaded only when the relevant connected feature is used. Do not upload or send content that you are not permitted to process. TutorPal sync is not described as end-to-end encrypted.

Public links

TutorPal can create optional public tutor profiles and no-login session, policy or family-snapshot pages. A family page uses a secret token in its URL and may show selected learner, lesson, pack or policy information or accept a response. Anyone with the complete URL may be able to open it until expiry or revocation.

You are responsible for previewing the page, choosing suitable information, sharing the link only with the intended person and revoking or replacing a link if it is exposed. A recipient may forward or retain a URL outside TutorPal. Do not treat a family page as confidential merely because it is difficult to guess.

Parent or guardian actions are information for the tutor to review. A confirmation, cancellation, reschedule request or policy acknowledgement does not replace your professional judgment, direct communication or any separate agreement with the family. Current account-deletion limitations for family-snapshot links are explained in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

You retain rights in original tutor profiles, student records, notes, policies, templates, invoices, logos and other content you create. You give Blue Sparrow only the limited permission needed to host, process, synchronise, transmit, back up and display that content to provide, secure and support the feature you request.

Blue Sparrow and its licensors retain rights in TutorPal software, branding, original interface, templates, documentation and other protected materials. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use TutorPal on supported devices under these terms and applicable app-store rules.

For a copyright, attribution or other rights concern, email [email protected] with enough detail for review.

Availability and disclaimers

Blue Sparrow works to keep TutorPal useful and secure but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every device, delivery of every notification or email, accuracy of every calculation, continued availability of a public page, or complete synchronization and restore.

Device vendors, networks, recipient applications, Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, hosting and delivery providers can affect connected features. Dates, time zones, recurring lessons, pack deductions, invoice totals, policy text, contact details and parent responses should be reviewed before an important decision or communication.

To the extent applicable rules permit, Blue Sparrow is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by service interruption, provider failure, unauthorised link forwarding, inaccurate user-entered content or failure to keep an independent copy. Nothing in these terms limits a right or responsibility that applicable rules do not allow to be limited.

Termination

You may stop using TutorPal at any time. You can request account deletion through the in-app flow or by contacting [email protected] if you cannot use that flow. Export needed records first and separately manage any Google Play subscription.

Blue Sparrow may restrict or end access where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, non-payment, material misuse, protection of users or operation of the service. Where appropriate, reasonable notice or an opportunity to correct the issue will be provided.

Account deletion removes the current local workspace, Firebase Authentication user and supported Blue Sparrow backend records when the flow completes. A minimal deletion marker remains to prevent unintended account recreation, and some provider-held records follow provider controls. The known family-snapshot deletion gap and other retention details are disclosed in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

TutorPal and these terms may change as features, providers and applicable requirements evolve. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on the website where appropriate, and the updated date will be revised. If you do not accept an updated term, stop using the affected service and manage your data and subscription before the change takes effect where practical.
