GitaPray Terms of Use

Acceptance

These terms apply when you install, access or use GitaPray. By using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you use GitaPray for someone who cannot accept these terms independently, you confirm that you are authorised to make the relevant choices for them.

Blue Sparrow operates GitaPray as a solo developer based in India. These terms work alongside the Google Play terms, provider terms for optional services and the GitaPray Privacy Policy. Mandatory consumer protections available where you live remain unaffected.

Service

GitaPray provides Bhagavad Gita verses and tools for prayer, meditation, breathing, japa, reflection, reminders, progress insights and intentional device use. Some content works offline after installation. Account, backup, purchase, support and store-update features require connectivity and may rely on third-party services.

GitaPray is a personal spiritual-practice and digital-wellness aid. Its verses, transliterations, translations, meanings, contextual notes, statistics, prompts and exercises are for reflection and general information. They are not medical, mental-health, religious-authority, financial or other professional advice, and they do not promise a particular spiritual, health or productivity outcome. Use your own judgment and seek an appropriately qualified person when needed.

Accounts and security

You may use core features as a guest. Optional Google sign-in creates a Firebase account connection used for profile, entitlement and backup-related functions. Provide accurate information, use only an account you are permitted to use and protect your device, Google account and authentication methods.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your device or account unless applicable protections provide otherwise. Notify [email protected] if you reasonably believe GitaPray account access has been compromised. Some account actions may require fresh authentication. Signing out, clearing device data or deleting authentication may not automatically remove provider-held purchases, Drive archives, support messages or limited linked records; follow the privacy-policy deletion process for a broader request.

Responsibilities

Use GitaPray lawfully, safely and respectfully. You must not:

• Interfere with the app, connected services, security controls or another person's use.
• Attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, automate abusive requests or evade purchase and feature limits.
• Misrepresent an identity, submit unlawful or harmful support content, or infringe another person's privacy or intellectual-property rights.
• Redistribute substantial collections of app content, translations, audio or branding without permission where those materials are protected.
• Use app-blocking features in a way that creates danger, prevents access to essential device functions or violates rules applying to a managed device.

You are responsible for choosing appropriate reminder, blocker, strict-mode and unlock settings. Keep emergency, accessibility, safety and essential communication needs in mind before restricting an app.

Subscriptions and purchases

GitaPray offers free functionality and may offer trials, subscriptions, lifetime access or other premium products. The features, price, billing period and any trial conditions shown at purchase are the terms for that offer. Google Play processes payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds under its rules; RevenueCat helps validate and deliver entitlements. Blue Sparrow does not receive your full payment-card details.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play before the applicable renewal time. Deleting GitaPray, its local data or an account does not by itself cancel a store subscription. Manage or cancel it in Google Play. Feature access may take time to refresh and can depend on a valid receipt, network availability and the store account used for purchase. Any refund or cooling-off right required where you live remains available.

Blue Sparrow may change future prices or plan contents with notice required by the purchase platform or applicable consumer rules. A change will not retroactively alter an already completed one-time purchase.

Cloud features

Optional sign-in, Firebase profile and entitlement services, Google Drive backup, support submission and purchase validation depend on third-party providers. Their availability, account rules and privacy terms also apply.

When you enable Drive backup, GitaPray encrypts supported local data before uploading it to the app-data area of your own Google Drive. You remain responsible for access to the same Google and Firebase identity, enough Drive capacity and appropriate account security. Backup and restore are convenience features, not the sole copy you should rely on for irreplaceable information. Test a restore where appropriate and understand that network, provider, account or version changes can affect availability.

GitaPray attempts to keep up to five recent backup archives, but cleanup and background scheduling are best-effort. Disabling backup, clearing device data or signing out does not necessarily delete an existing Drive archive. Use your Google account and any available provider controls to manage provider-held copies.

Intellectual property

Blue Sparrow and its licensors retain rights in the app software, original interface, branding, compilations, translations, contextual materials, audio and other protected materials. The Bhagavad Gita is an ancient scripture; inclusion in GitaPray does not create ownership over the underlying scripture or traditional teaching.

You receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use GitaPray on supported devices under these terms and the applicable app-store rules. You retain rights in verse notes and other original content you create. You grant Blue Sparrow only the limited permission needed to process content you intentionally send for support and to perform a backup action you request.

Availability and disclaimers

Blue Sparrow works to keep GitaPray useful and secure, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect translations, complete contextual coverage, error-free operation, compatibility with every device or successful blocking of every application. Operating-system restrictions, device vendors and other apps can affect overlays, usage detection, notifications, widgets and background backup.

Never rely on GitaPray to block access where failure could create harm, and do not use meditation or breathing features while driving or performing an activity requiring full attention. Audio volume and session duration should be suitable for your surroundings and wellbeing.

To the extent permitted by applicable rules, GitaPray is provided as available and responsibility is limited to reasonably foreseeable loss caused by a failure to use reasonable care. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights or remedies that cannot validly be excluded where you live.

Termination

You may stop using GitaPray at any time. Remember to cancel any active subscription and manage cloud copies separately.

Blue Sparrow may suspend or restrict connected features for serious misuse, fraud, security risk, material breach, non-payment, provider requirements or discontinuation of a service. Where reasonably possible, notice and an opportunity to correct the issue will be provided. Provisions that naturally continue, including ownership, completed-payment responsibilities, service limitations and privacy-related obligations, remain effective after use ends.

Changes

GitaPray and these terms may evolve. Material term changes will be explained through the app or https://bluesparrow.dev and will show a new updated date. Advance notice will be provided where required. Continued use after the effective date means the revised terms apply; if you do not accept them, stop using the service and manage any subscription or cloud data.
