These terms set expectations for adults using ParentLog while preserving mandatory consumer rights available where they live.

Acceptance

These terms apply when you install, access or use ParentLog, its connected services, support intake or public verification page. By using ParentLog, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you enter information about another person or act for a family or organisation, you confirm that you have the authority and permissions needed to do so.

Blue Sparrow operates ParentLog as a solo developer based in India. These terms work alongside the ParentLog Privacy Policy, Google Play terms and the terms of any optional provider you choose. Mandatory consumer protections available where you live remain unaffected.

Service

ParentLog provides adult users with tools for journals, parenting events, schedules, parenting plans, exchanges, holiday and vacation rules, shared expenses, claims, settlement summaries, requests, family information, attachments, reminders, exports, integrity receipts and optional encrypted Google Drive synchronization.

ParentLog is an organization and record-keeping aid. It does not communicate with a co-parent automatically, monitor a child, verify what occurred, decide parenting arrangements, calculate every financial obligation, provide professional, medical, financial, tax, safety or emergency advice, or guarantee how another person or organisation will interpret a record or export.

If someone may be in immediate danger, contact an appropriate local emergency or support service. Do not delay urgent help while entering information in ParentLog.

Accounts and security

Google sign-in and Firebase Authentication identify the adult account used for connected features. Use only an account and device you are permitted to access, provide accurate account information and protect the device, Google account, authentication methods and recovery keys.

You are responsible for activity through your device and account unless applicable protections provide otherwise. Notify [email protected] if you reasonably believe access has been compromised. Signing out, clearing local records, deleting the app or deleting the ParentLog account does not automatically cancel a subscription or erase provider-held, public-receipt, operating-system backup, recipient or exported copies. Follow the Privacy Policy for deletion details.

ParentLog is intended for adults. Do not give a child your signed-in device or account to operate the service.

Responsibilities

Use ParentLog responsibly and respect other people's privacy. You must:

  • Enter only information you are entitled to record and keep it no longer than needed.
  • Provide appropriate notice and obtain any required permission or other valid basis for child, co-parent, contact, health, school, location, image and document information.
  • Review dates, schedules, amounts, contribution splits, requests, calculations, redaction choices, attachments and exports for accuracy and context.
  • Confirm every recipient and protect sensitive PDFs, diagnostic files, packet identifiers and hashes.
  • Keep independent copies of irreplaceable information and use suitable professional guidance for important decisions.

You must not interfere with ParentLog, evade access or plan controls, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, automate abusive requests, impersonate another person, send spam, upload harmful material or use the service in a way that violates another person's privacy or intellectual-property rights.

Cloud features

ParentLog's working records remain local-first. Optional Google Drive synchronization encrypts supported records and attachment bytes on the device and stores opaque artifacts in ParentLog's hidden app-data area in the Google account you authorize. The operational API coordinates devices, opaque Drive pointers, wrapped keys and synchronization state; it does not store decrypted family content.

Synchronization and recovery depend on the device, account, credentials, encryption keys, network, Google Drive, metadata service and compatible app versions. They may be delayed, unavailable or incomplete. Maintain another appropriate copy of anything irreplaceable. Google controls Drive availability and physical infrastructure, while safe pruning and deletion are best-effort operations.

Local SQLite and attachment files are in app-private storage but are not currently encrypted by ParentLog itself. Android system backup is not currently excluded. Use device encryption and a strong screen lock, review platform backup settings and protect exported files.

Public links

ParentLog can create a public verification URL from a packet identifier and cryptographic hash. Anyone with those values can query receipt metadata without signing in. A result can show identifiers, hashes, dates, app version, build number and schema version, but not the PDF or its family content.

Verification shows only whether matching receipt metadata exists. It does not confirm identity, authorship, completeness, accuracy, context or a particular interpretation. Receipts do not currently expire or support revocation, and deletion does not currently remove them. Share packet details only with intended recipients and do not treat the link as private recipient authentication.

Schedule-change requests and other exports are sent through device share tools. The chosen application and recipient then control their copy. Blue Sparrow cannot retrieve or erase a copy already delivered elsewhere.

Subscriptions and purchases

ParentLog may offer Free and Pro access. Current Free limits include up to two active devices, 50 active attachments and three successful PDF packets per calendar month with a watermark. Pro currently raises the active-device limit to five and removes supported attachment, packet and watermark limits. Core records, encrypted Drive synchronization and recovery are not intended to be withheld merely because a plan ends.

The product, features, limits, price, billing period and any introductory offer or trial displayed at purchase are the terms for that offer. Google Play processes payment, renewal, cancellation and eligible refunds under its rules; RevenueCat and Blue Sparrow's subscription gateway help validate and deliver entitlements. Blue Sparrow does not receive full payment-card details.

A subscription may renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play before the applicable renewal time. Deleting ParentLog, signing out or requesting account deletion does not cancel it. Entitlement updates can take time and may depend on a valid receipt, connectivity and the store account used for purchase. Refund, withdrawal or cooling-off protections required where you live remain available.

Intellectual property

Blue Sparrow and its licensors retain rights in the ParentLog software, original interface, branding, templates, compilations and other protected materials. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use ParentLog on supported devices under these terms and applicable app-store rules.

You retain rights in original notes, family information, schedules, expense records, attachments and other material you create or are authorized to use. You give Blue Sparrow a limited permission to process operational metadata and encrypted or user-submitted material only as reasonably needed to provide, secure and support the features you request. You remain responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for that material.

Availability and disclaimers

Blue Sparrow works to keep ParentLog useful and secure but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free calculations, delivery of every notification, preservation of every record, successful synchronization or restore, compatibility with every device, continued public verification, or a particular family, financial or professional outcome. Network conditions, operating-system behavior, credentials, provider outages and service changes can affect connected features.

Apply your own judgment and appropriate professional guidance to parenting, health, safety, financial and other important decisions. Review every record, schedule, amount, request, redaction choice and export before relying on or sharing it.

To the extent permitted by applicable rules, ParentLog is provided as available and responsibility is limited to reasonably foreseeable loss caused by a failure to use reasonable care. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights or remedies that cannot validly be excluded where you live.

Termination

You may stop using ParentLog at any time. Cancel an active subscription separately and manage local, system-backup, Drive, public-receipt, exported and recipient copies as described in the Privacy Policy.

Blue Sparrow may suspend or restrict an account or connected feature for serious misuse, fraud, safety or security risk, material breach, non-payment, provider requirements or discontinuation of a service. Where reasonably possible, notice and an opportunity to correct the issue will be provided. Provisions that naturally continue, including ownership, completed-payment responsibilities, limited permissions for retained copies, service limitations and privacy duties, remain effective after use ends.

Changes

ParentLog and these terms may evolve. Material changes will be explained through the app or https://bluesparrow.dev and will show a new updated date. Advance notice will be provided where required. Continued use after the effective date means the revised terms apply; if you do not accept them, stop using the service and manage any subscription and stored copies.
