LensNote Terms of Use

Acceptance

These terms apply when you install, access or use LensNote. By using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you make choices for someone who cannot accept these terms independently, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

Blue Sparrow operates LensNote as a solo developer based in India. These terms work alongside the LensNote Privacy Policy, Google Play terms and the terms of providers used for optional account, purchase, support and Drive features. Mandatory consumer protections where you live remain unaffected.

Service

LensNote provides local journaling, mood and activity tracking, photos, personal tasks, reminders, timelines and on-device insights. Core journal functions work without an account and generally work offline. Firebase configuration and usage measurement, optional sign-in, Drive copies, purchases, support and update checks require connectivity or third-party services.

LensNote is a personal reflection and general wellbeing tool. It is not medical, mental-health, crisis, diagnostic, treatment, financial or other professional advice. Prompts, trends, correlations and summaries may be incomplete or unsuitable for your circumstances and do not promise a particular health or wellbeing result. Use your judgment and seek an appropriately qualified professional when needed. If you may be in immediate danger, use an appropriate local emergency or crisis resource instead of relying on the app.

Accounts and security

You can use core features as a guest. Optional Google sign-in creates a Firebase account connection and limited Firestore profile used for account, entitlement and Drive-related features. Use only an account you are permitted to use, provide accurate information and protect your device, Google account, store account, PIN and authentication methods.

You are responsible for activity through your device or account unless mandatory protections provide otherwise. Notify [email protected] if you reasonably believe account access has been compromised. Some sensitive account actions require recent Google authentication.

Signing out is different from deleting an account or cloud copy. It does not automatically cancel a subscription or delete Drive files, purchase records or prior support messages. The in-app deletion flow offers separate choices for Drive cleanup and wiping the current device, and cleanup remains subject to network and provider availability.

Responsibilities

Use LensNote lawfully, safely and respectfully. You must not:

• Interfere with the app, its connected services, purchase checks or security controls.
• Attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, automate abusive requests or evade plan limits.
• Misrepresent an identity or submit unlawful, abusive or rights-infringing material through support channels.
• Use LensNote to store or share content you do not have permission to use.
• Reverse engineer or redistribute protected parts of the app except where applicable rules expressly permit it.

You are responsible for reviewing what you record, choosing suitable reminder and app-lock settings, keeping independent copies of irreplaceable information and maintaining enough device and Drive storage. Do not place information in a support request that is unnecessary for receiving help.

Subscriptions and purchases

LensNote offers free functionality and may offer trials, subscriptions or other Premium products. Features, price, billing period and trial conditions displayed at purchase form part of that offer. Google Play processes payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds; RevenueCat helps validate and deliver entitlements. Blue Sparrow does not receive your full payment-card details.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play before the applicable renewal time. Deleting LensNote, signing out or deleting an app account does not itself cancel a store subscription. Manage or cancel it through Google Play. Premium access can depend on a valid receipt, network availability, the signed-in identity and the store account used for purchase.

Any refund, cooling-off, cancellation or service right that must be provided where you live remains available. Blue Sparrow may change future prices or plan contents with the notice required by the purchase platform or applicable consumer rules.

Cloud features

Optional sign-in, Firebase profile and entitlement services, Google Drive files, support submission and purchase validation depend on third-party providers. Their availability, account rules, privacy notices and service terms also apply.

When a full Drive backup runs, LensNote encrypts the supported journal and task record archive on your device before uploading it to the hidden app-data area of your Google Drive. Photos are separate media files and do not receive that app-level archive encryption. While you are signed in, LensNote may attempt to upload a newly added photo immediately so it can be available to a later restore. Review the Privacy Policy before using Drive with sensitive photos.

Drive features are convenience copies, not guaranteed complete synchronization or permanent archival storage. Missing files, interrupted uploads, background limits, account changes, provider outages, version differences or unavailable encryption identity can prevent a complete backup or restore. Keep another appropriate copy of information you cannot replace and test restore behavior where appropriate.

LensNote applies best-effort archive retention, but removing an archive may not remove separately stored media. Signing out or disabling automatic backup does not delete existing Drive files. Use the in-app controls and your Google account to manage provider-held copies.

Intellectual property

You retain rights in the original journal entries, tasks and photos you create. You give Blue Sparrow only the limited permission needed to process content when you request a feature, such as creating a Drive copy or sending a support message. LensNote does not obtain permission to use private journal content for advertising.

Blue Sparrow and its licensors retain rights in the app software, original interface, branding, prompts, compilations and other protected materials. You receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use LensNote on supported devices under these terms and applicable app-store rules.

Availability and disclaimers

Blue Sparrow works to keep LensNote useful and secure but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free insights, delivery of every reminder, availability on every device, successful purchase refresh, or complete Drive backup and restore. Device vendors, operating-system restrictions, network conditions and third-party providers can affect these features.

Do not use mood patterns or journaling prompts as the sole basis for health, safety or other important decisions. Protect access to a device that contains sensitive reflections and understand that a PIN or biometric gate is one safeguard, not a guarantee against every form of access or loss.

To the extent permitted by applicable rules, LensNote is provided as available and responsibility is limited to reasonably foreseeable loss caused by a failure to use reasonable care. Nothing in these terms removes a right or remedy that cannot validly be limited where you live.

Termination

You may stop using LensNote at any time. Before uninstalling, manage any subscription and any Drive copies you want to retain or remove.

Blue Sparrow may suspend or restrict connected features for serious misuse, fraud, security risk, material breach, non-payment, provider requirements or discontinuation of a service. Where reasonably possible, notice and an opportunity to correct the issue will be provided. Provisions that naturally continue, including ownership, completed-payment responsibilities, service limitations and privacy obligations, remain effective after use ends.

Changes

LensNote and these terms may evolve. Material changes will be explained through the app or https://bluesparrow.dev and will show a new updated date. Advance notice will be provided where required. Continued use after the effective date means the revised terms apply; if you do not accept them, stop using the service and manage subscriptions and cloud copies separately.
